Overview
Strahl and Pitsch is a heritage wax producer that has been trusted by industries worldwide since 1904. Despite its long-standing reputation for quality, the brand’s identity had not evolved to match the expectations of a modern audience. This project focused on repositioning the company through a refined, contemporary brand system that respects its legacy while creating space for growth.
Creative Approach
The redesigned logo features a clean sans serif typeface that communicates clarity, professionalism, and authority. A geometric “S and P” monogram was developed as a flexible brand element that nods to the original logo but feels more refined and adaptable across platforms.
To honor the company’s long history, the phrase “Quality Waxes Since 1904” was integrated into the mark, reinforcing both heritage and credibility.
The new color palette blends yellow gold, orange, and gray tones to evoke warmth, approachability, and success. These colors were chosen not just for visual appeal, but to align with the natural materials and high quality of the company’s products.
Typography was updated to Montserrat and Roboto for readability and modern feel, supporting a range of uses from packaging to digital assets.
Results
The result is a confident and cohesive identity system that is bold enough to stand out in today’s market while remaining grounded in the company’s legacy. The updated visuals are scalable across digital and print channels and help communicate the value of a product that has stood the test of time.
