Overview
Reindeer Rocker is a custom amusement ride concept developed for Santa’s Village in East Dundee, Illinois. The objective was to design a ride identity that felt fresh and exciting while staying true to the holiday spirit of the park. This project was about more than just visuals—it was about creating an immersive brand moment that kids and families would instantly connect with and remember. The final result needed to be vibrant, photogenic, and full of character.
Creative Approach
I created a fully custom logo and mascot character that captured the playful charm of a rocking reindeer—complete with sunglasses, a striped scarf, and a bit of attitude. The visual style merges retro holiday energy with modern cartoon boldness, creating a look that pops both in print and on ride signage. The color palette was carefully selected for visibility and brand alignment within the larger Santa’s Village aesthetic. Design elements extended into illustrated backdrops, signage, and environmental treatments that gave the attraction a larger-than-life presence in the park.
Deliverables
The Reindeer Rocker identity included a full custom logo, character development, ride branding assets, and themed graphics. All artwork was designed for flexibility across signage, promotional materials, and in-park merchandising. The visual storytelling was built to enhance the ride’s on-site atmosphere while supporting social media visibility and photo engagement opportunities for guests. Every element was crafted to blend seamlessly with the broader Santa’s Village experience while standing out as a holiday hero on its own.
Results
Reindeer Rocker launched as an instant crowd-pleaser, drawing attention from visitors of all ages. The character-based branding helped drive guest interaction and created a strong visual anchor within the park. The ride’s signage and backdrop became popular photo spots, supporting organic social sharing. With its cheerful identity and thematic consistency, Reindeer Rocker elevated the overall Santa’s Village brand experience and established itself as a standout holiday attraction.
